David Lindsey's land in Connellsville, Pennsylvania

(Tyrone Township until 1784, then Bullskin until 1793)

 

This is the 1794 survey of the tract of land  that David Lindsey sold to Zachariah Connell in 1787. Connell patented the parcel as "Mud Island".   The paperwork that Connell filed for "Mud Island" makes no mention of David Lindsey as a former owner.  But David Lindsey was named as the owner in 1785, when Connell had an adjoining tract, "Woodstock" surveyed.  See the survey for it below.

 In 1785, Zachariah Connell had the adjoining parcel he named "Woodstock" surveyed.  David Lindsey is shown as the owner of the "Mud Island" parcel at that time.
